We are specialist tour operators and co-ordinators of tailor-made tours and safaris for small groups of 4 to 20 guests, with experienced, registered professional tourist guides, fluent in English, German and many other European languages. Our drivers are qualified with PDP (professional driving permit), who have a keen interest in you and your safety.

Far & Wide Tours is located in Milnerton, on the beautiful Table Bay, within the Cape Town metropolis.

After having explored southern Africa for some 30 years, Sandy and Peter Smulik decided to share their vast knowledge and love of South Africa with their guests. We arrange your itinerary in consultation with you, with emphasis on your particular interests. All of our tourist guides have extensive and intimate knowledge of the fauna and flora, the cultures and politics, industries, geography, history and much else, as well as the local delicacies.


Our programme includes wildlife safaris, hiking and birding tours, wine tours, cultural and scenic tours to the "hot spots", as well as to places "off the beaten track", over carefully selected routes, of our country. We also conduct special interest tours to far away places such as Addo Elephant Park, 1820 Settlers Country, Tsitsikamma forest, the Wild Coast, West Coast and Namaqualand, the many battlefields, St. Lucia Wetlands and Zululand. Over famous and spectacular passes and "poorts", to the gold fields and the maize belt, the expanse of the Karoo or to historic, gracious buildings of the early settlers.

From Cape Town to the Limpopo River, from Zululand to the Fishriver Canyon, from the Kalahari to the Garden Route, our tours offer exclusivity and adventure, enabling you to explore the country's diversity. We believe in a leisurely itinerary and superior service, resulting in an unforgettable experience.
